The congregation of Musselburgh Millhill United Presbyterian, which sat within the Presbytery of Edinburgh, was established in 1783 following a petition presented to Glasgow Relief Presbytery requesting that sermon be provided at Musselburgh. The congregation was duly formed and a church was erected in the same year. In 1900, upon the union of the Free Church and the United Presbyterians, Musselburgh Millhill United Presbyterian became Musselburgh Millhill United Free Church and following the union between the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland, the charge became Musselburgh Millhill Church of Scotland. In 1960 Musselburgh Millhill Church of Scotland united with the congregation of Musselburgh Bridge Street to form the session of Musselburgh St Andrew's. |
