The congregation at Lochfyneside was formed at the Disruption in 1843 under the care of the minster of Strachur. It passed to the United Free Church in 1900, but some members continued to adhere to the Free Church. The United Free congregation at Lochfyneside was reduced to a mission station in 1907. But in 1929 when the United Free Church passed back to the Established Church a union took place between Lochfyneside and Cumlodden to form Cumlodden and Lochfyneside Church of Scotland. |
