Haddington Knox's Free Church, which sat within the Presbytery of Haddington and Dunbar, began life as the Original Secession Church of Haddington and in 1852 this Secession congregation joined the Free Church and became known as Knox's Free Church. The charge was not long lived however and in 1872, following the death of the minister, William White, Knox's Free church congregation was dissolved, leaving Haddington St John's as the sole Free Church representative within Haddington. |
