Drumblade Free Church began at the Disruption when the minister of the parish and many of his congregation adhered to the Free Church. A site for their place of worship was obtained and the church was erected in 1844, with a manse following in 1850. The charge passed to the United Free Church in 1900 when the Free and United Presbyterian Churches united, taking the name Drumblade United Free. At the union of the Free Church and the Established Church in 1929, Drumblade United Free became Drumblade South Church of Scotland. In the following year Drumblade South united with the original Church of Scotland charge of Drumblade North, reverting to the name of Drumblade Church of Scotland. |
