Grangemouth Dundas United Presbyterian was formed in February 1893 as a Church Extension charge. An amount of £200 was promised from the Extension Fund for the erection of a new church building, which was duly completed and opened in September 1894. When in 1900 the Free Church united with the United Presbyterian Church, the congregation became Grangemouth Dundas United Free Church. The name of the congregation was to change again when in 1929 when the United Free Church united with the Established Church, becoming Grangemouth Dundas Church of Scotland. A later union with Kerse Church took place in 2006 to form the new congregation of Grangemouth Abbotsford Church of Scotland. |
