St Paul's Church began as a United Free Preaching Station in 1902, but soon after the first Minister was elected took the name of St Paul's United Free Church. A new building was erected in 1905, and at the union of the Established Church and the United Free Church in 1929, the charge took the name St Paul's Church of Scotland. Due to the fall in numbers of the congregation it was decided, in 1987, that St Paul's and Trinity Churches should unite to form Trinity St Paul's Church of Scotland. |
