The first meeting was held in a misssionary hall on 22 June 1862 and the original church was erected in 1878. A provisional session was appointed on 13 February 1883 at a meeting of Glasgow Presbytery (North) of the United Presbyterian Church. Blairhall united with Dundyvan kirk session in 1974 to be known as Blairhill Dundyvan kirk session.
