This new extension church was opened on 27 February 1898 due to an increase of population at Rutherglen Relief church. Following the union in 1900 of the Free Church with the United Presbyterian Church, the church became Greenhill United Free Church and in 1929 Greenhill Church of Scotland. The congregation united with Rutherglen Old under the name of Rutherglen Old and Greenhill. |
