London Road Church, Glasgow, originated with a petition to Glasgow Secession Presbytery in 1837. A building, in London Road at Brook Street, was already under construction and was dedicated in the same year. The congregation was known successively as London Road Secession, United Presbyterian and United Free Church. In 1929 the charge passed back to the Established Church as London Road Church of Scotland. It terminated in 1950 on uniting with St Clement?s as London Road St Clement?s. As a Church of Scotland charge it was in the presbytery of Glasgow and the synod of Clydesdale. |
