Fairbairn Church, Glasgow, originated as a Free Church in Bridgeton, sanctioned as a separate charge in 1875. The church, in Baltic Street opposite Fairbairn Street, was built the following year. With the unions of 1900 and 1929 it became part of the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland, and terminated in 1959 on uniting with Hall Memorial as Hall Memorial Fairbairn. As a Church of Scotland charge it was in the presbytery of Glasgow and the synod of Clydesdale. |
