Musselburgh High Free Church originated at the Disruption, when a group of parishioners from Inveresk parish formed a congregation and built a church soon afterwards (rebuilt 1889). It passed successively to the United Free Church, as Musselburgh High, and to the Church of Scotland. It united with Musselburgh St Andrew's as Musselburgh St Andrew's High in 1985. The Church of Scotland charge was in the presbytery of Dalkeith and the synod of Lothian and Tweeddale. |
