Kincardine Free Church was formed at the Disruption when the minister and congregation adhered to the Free Church. A church was built at Gledfield about 1849 (replaced 1908). It passed to the United Free Church as Kincardine, renamed Kincardine and Croick after union with Croick in 1910. At the union with the Church of Scotland it was separated from Croick and became Kincardine West, which united with Kincardine East and Croick as Kincardine and Croick in 1947. The Church of Scotland charge was in the presbytery of Tain and the synod of Ross, Sutherland and Caithness. |
