Aberdeen, St Nicholas' United Presbyterian Church was formed as a Burgher congregation by disjunction from Nether Kirkgate in 1795. The first minister was ordained in 1800. It passed successively to the United Presbyterian and United Free Churches, in the latter case as Aberdeen St Nicholas. The Church of Scotland charge, Aberdeen St Nicholas Union Grove, united with Aberdeen St Andrew, West of (sic) as Langstane Kirk in 1973. It was in the presbytery and synod of Aberdeen. |
