Renfield Street United Presbyterian Church, Glasgow, was originally intended as a new site for Regent Place Church, but when the building (at the SW corner of Renfield Street and Sauchiehall Street) was completed in 1848, most of the congregation chose to remain and Renfield Street thus became an offshoot of Regent Place. It transferred successively to the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland and terminated in 1964 on uniting with Milton St Stephen's as Renfield. As a Church of Scotland charge it was in the presbytery of Glasgow and the synod of Clydesdale. |
