Culsalmond Free Church originated with an intrusion dispute more than a year before the Disruption. Because of longstanding opposition a proper church and manse were not built until 1867. The congregation passed successively to the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland, in the latter case as Culsalmond South, which united with Culsalmond on the Hill as Culsalmond in 1937. The Church of Scotland charge was in the presbytery of Garioch and the synod of Aberdeen. |
