White Memorial Church, Glasgow, began with a Free Church congregation in Plantation, which purchased an existing church in Paisley Road in 1886 and adopted the name of the donor of a large part of the purchase price. The church building was destroyed by fire in 1952 and six years later the congregation merged with Paisley Road as Cessnock. As a Church of Scotland charge it was in the presbytery of Glasgow and the synod of Clydesdale. |
