Carron Parish Church was formed in 1878 and formally established in 1879 by a petition to Falkirk Presbytery of the United Presbyterian Church by members of Falkirk Erskine United Presbyterian Church who lived in Carron. The congregation met in Carron schoolroom until a new building was opened in 1881. The congregation entered the United Free Church in 1900 and the Church of Scotland in 1929. In 1963 the congregation was united with Stenhouse Parish Church to form Stenhouse and Carron Parish Church. The Carron Church building was erected in 1881 and demolished in 1996. |
