Glenurquhart Free Church originated at the Disruption, when the congregation adhered to the Free Church. A minister was settled in 1844 and church and manse supplied between then and 1846. It passed to the United Free Church and in 1913 was disjoined from Abertarff presbytery and added to Inverness. At the union of 1929 it joined the Church of Scotland as Kilmichael, which united with Kilmore as Urquhart in 1946. The Church of Scotland charge was in the presbytery of Inverness and the synod of Moray. |
