Inverness, Crown Free Church was a new charge formed for the upper district of the town. Services began in 1896, a minister was settled in 1899 and the church was opened in 1900. It passed successively to the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland. The Church of Scotland charge is in the presbytery of Inverness and was in the synod of Moray until the abolition of synods in 1993. |
