Nenthorn Free Church was formed at the Disruption, with a church building erected in the same year. Adherents came from the parishes of Stitchel, Smailholm and Ednam. It passed to the United Free Church, but was dissolved by the Synod in 1914. The United Free charge was in the presbytery of Jedburgh and Kelso and the synod of Merse and Teviotdale. |
