Kirriemuir West United Presbyterian Church originated as Kirriemuir Antiburgher Church, which formed as a session in 1775 and called a minister two years later. It passed successively to the United Presbyterian and United Free Churches, in the latter case as Kirriemuir West, which united with Kirriemuir Bank Street as Kirriemuir First United Free in 1914. The United Free charge was in the presbytery of Arbroath and Forfar and the synod of Fife and Angus. |
