St James? Glasgow Cross Church, Glasgow, originated at the Disruption, when various members of St James? and Calton congregations joined the Free Church. In 1845 they built a church in London Road, known at first as St James? Free Church, later St James? London Road United Free. It terminated in 1939 on uniting with St Andrew?s (I) as St Andrew?s (II). As a Church of Scotland charge it was in the presbytery of Glasgow and the synod of Clydesdale. |
