Durris Free Church began as a mission station in 1852. A church was built in 1856 and the charge sanctioned in 1867. It passed successively to the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland, in the latter case as Durris West, which united with Durris St Congall's as Durris in 1933. The Church of Scotland charge was in the presbytery and synod of Aberdeen. |
