Larbert Free Church originated at the Disruption, when the minister and a large part of the congregation of Larbert and Dunipace adhered to the Free Church. A new church was erected at Stenhousemuir. It passed successively to the United Free Church, as Larbert East, and to the Church of Scotland. The Church of Scotland charge is in the presbytery of Falkirk (formerly Linlithgow and Falkirk) and was in the synod of Lothian and Tweeddale until the abolition of synods in 1993. |
