Victoria Park Church, Glasgow, began as a United Presbyterian preaching station in Whiteinch in the 1870s. A church was built in Balshagray Avenue in 1877, known as Whiteinch United Presbyterian, later Victoria Park United Presbyterian (later still United Free). The building was demolished as a result of construction work for approach roads to the Clyde Tunnel and a successor was built in Broomhill Drive (dedicated 1970). As a Church of Scotland charge it was in the presbytery of Glasgow and the synod of Clydesdale. |
