Aberdeen, Woodside Free Church originated with a Church of Scotland chapel of ease of that name, whose minister adhered to the Free Church, with almost all of his congregation. The church and manse were then awarded to the Free Church. It passed successively to the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland. The United Free charge united with St John's as Woodside in 1925 and at the union of 1929 became Woodside North. Woodside North and Woodside South were united as Woodside in 1982. The Church of Scotland charge was in the presbytery and synod of Aberdeen. |
