Partick High Church, Glasgow, originated with open-air meetings in Partick in 1859-60. The Free Church congregation worshipped in various locations until acquiring its own church in Fortrose Street (dedicated 1869). It terminated in 1936 on uniting with Partick Dowanvale as Partick High and Dowanvale. This continued in the Fortrose Street building until terminated in turn in 1963, on uniting with St Mary?s Partick as Hamilton Crescent. As a Church of Scotland charge it was in the presbytery of Glasgow and the synod of Clydesdale. |
