Partick Dowanvale Church, Glasgow, began as the result of mission work in Partick by Kelvinside Free Church. A church, in Dowanhill Street at Chancellor Street, was erected in 1880 as Partick Dowanvale Free (later United Free) Church. It terminated in 1936 on uniting with Partick High as Partick High and Dowanvale. As a Church of Scotland charge it was in the presbytery of Glasgow and the synod of Clydesdale. |
