Gartmore East began as a Free Church formed after the Disruption of 1843 and a church building was opened in 1848. Gartmore joined the United Free Church on the union of 1900. It became known as Gartmore East after the congregation, along with most other Free Church congregations, united with the Church of Scotland in 1929. Gartmore East was united with Gartmore West in 1936 to form Gartmore Kirk Session. |
