Eyemouth United Secession Church originated in 1841 when a petition for sermon was made to Coldstream and Berwick United Secession Presbytery. A church was built in 1842 and the first minister ordained a year later. It passed to the United Presbyterian and United Free Churches, in the latter case as Eyemouth East, which united with Eyemouth St John's in 1917. The United Free charge was in the presbytery of Duns and Chirnside and the synod of Merse and Teviotdale. |
