Cathcart South Church, Glasgow, began with a United Presbyterian congregation which originally met in the Couper Institute in Clarkston Road. The new church immediately to the south was dedicated in 1894, first as Cathcart United Presbyterian, later as Cathcart South United Free. It joined the Church of Scotland at the union of 1929. As a Church of Scotland charge it is in the presbytery of Glasgow and was formerly in the synod of Clydesdale. |
