The Kirk Session of Selkirk Lawson Memorial was established c 1738 within the Burgher Church. In 1900, it became part of the Presbytery of Galashiels within the United Free Church, and in 1929, part of the Presbytery of Melrose within the Church of Scotland. With the restructuring of presbyteries in 1976, it became part of the Presbytery of Melrose and Peebles. In 1986, Selkirk Lawson Memorial was united with Selkirk Heatherlie and Selkirk St. Mary?s West, under the name of Selkirk, and linked with Caddonfoot. The link with Caddonfoot, however, was terminated in 1992. |
