Craigneuk Free Church originated with services held in the local school in 1884. The charge was sanctioned in 1891 and a church built in 1897. It passed successively to the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland, in the latter case as Wishaw Belhaven, Craigneuk, and united with Wishaw Craigneuk as Wishaw Craigneuk and Belhaven in 1975. The Church of Scotland charge was in the presbytery of Hamilton and the synod of Clydesdale. |
