Aberdeen East Free Church was formed at the Disruption, when the minister and most of the congregation adhered to the Free Church. A new building was erected in the same year. It passed first to the United Free Church, which united it with Belmont Street as Aberdeen East and Belmont Street in 1921, and then to the Church of Scotland, where it retained the same title. The Church of Scotland charge, which united with Aberdeen South as St Mark's in 1973, was in the presbytery and synod of Aberdeen. |
