Bishopbriggs Springfield Church, Lanarkshire, began at the Disruption as the Free Church for Cadder parish. Its early development was slow, however, and the new building in Springfield Road was not opened until 1865. It was usually known as Bishopbriggs Free Church (after 1900 Springfield United Free). It terminated in 1968 on uniting with Cambridge Street as Bishopbriggs Springfield Cambridge. As a Church of Scotland charge it was in the presbytery of Glasgow and the synod of Clydesdale. |
