Archival history |
Cramond Free Church was formed at the Disruption, when the minister and a large part of the congregation adhered to the Free Church. The parish was extensive and was based for a time at Davidson's Mains, for the eastern section, and at Braehead for the western. The church building was in Davidson's Mains (opened 1843). It passed successively to the United Free Church, with a name change to Davidson's Mains in 1927, and to the Church of Scotland. The Church of Scotland charge is in the presbytery of Edinburgh and was in the synod of Lothian and Tweeddale until the abolition of synods in 1993. |
