Johnston Church, Glasgow, began as Springburn United Presbyterian Church in 1856. In 1874 the congregation moved to a new location in Springburn Road at Queenshill Street. After the union of 1900 the church was known as Springburn Johnston Memorial United Free Church. It terminated in 1978 on uniting with four other Springburn churches as Springburn. As a Church of Scotland charge it was in the presbytery of Glasgow and the synod of Clydesdale. |
