Queen?s Park West Church, Glasgow, originated as an offshoot of Victoria Free Church in 1866 and was sanctioned as a separate charge in the following year. The church, in Queen?s Drive at Albert Avenue, was dedicated in 1875 as Queen?s Park Free (later Queen?s Park West United Free) before passing to Established Church as Queen's Park West Church of Scotland in 1929. In 1979 the congregation united with that of Strathbungo as Strathbungo Queen's Park Church of Scotland. As a Church of Scotland charge it was in the presbytery of Glasgow and the synod of Clydesdale. |
