Edinburgh, Rosehall United Presbyterian Church began with as a church extension charge with a site in Dalkeith Road in 1877, and with services held in a hall in Minto Street. It was congregated in 1878, a new church was opened in 1880 and the first minister was inducted in the same year. It passed successively to the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland. The Church of Scotland charge, which was in the presbytery of Edinburgh and the synod of Lothian and Tweeddale, united with Edinburgh Prestonfield as Edinburgh Priestfield in 1974. |
