Kennethmont Free Church was formed at the Disruption, the congregation being joined shortly afterwards by a local group of Congregationalists. The United Free Church charge, which was in the presbytery of Donside and synod of Aberdeen, had its status reduced in 1920, but passed to the Church of Scotland as Kennethmont Ardlair. The Church of Scotland charge united with the former parish church of Kennethmont under that name in 1932. |
