Peterhead South Free Church arose from a split within Peterhead St Peter's and the sanctioning of a separate charge in 1875. A church was erected in 1878-9. It passed successively to the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland. The Church of Scotland charge, which was in the presbytery of Deer and the synod of Aberdeen, united with Peterhead East as Peterhead St Andrew's in 1961. |
