Beith Free Church was formed at the Disruption and a church and manse were built soon thereafter (church replaced, 1878). It passed to the United Free Church as Beith Hamilfield, but the church building was destroyed by fire in 1917 and the congregation then united with two former United Presbyterian churches in the town as Beith United Free. The United Free charge was in the presbytery of Paisley and the synod of Glasgow. |
