Largs Free Church began at the Disruption when the minister and many of his congregation adhered to the Free Church. A church was built thereafter (renovated 1885-8). It passed successively to the United Free Church, as Largs St John's, and to the Church of Scotland. The Church of Scotland charge is in the presbytery of Ardrossan and was in the synod of Ayr until the abolition of synods in 1993. |
