Ordiquhill and Ord Free Church began at the Disruption, when the minister of Ord and almost all of his congregation adhered to the Free Church. A church was constructed in 1844 in the village of Cornhill, half way between Ord and Ordiquhill. After transfer to the United Free Church the building was almost entirely rebuilt in 1905. The Church of Scotland charge, Cornhill and Ordiquhill, united with Ordiquhill as Ordiquhill and Cornhill in 1941. It was in the presbytery of Fordyce and the synod of Aberdeen. |
