Forgue Free Church was formed at the Disruption with a church and manse available by 1844. The congregation passed successively to the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland, in the latter case as Forgue Auchaber, which united with Ythan Wells as Ythan-Wells-Auchaber in 1948. The Church of Scotland charge was in the presbytery of Turriff and the synod of Aberdeen. |
