Golspie United Free Church began at the Disruption, when a number of parishioners adhered to the Free Church. The charge was sanctioned in 1845 and a church built. It passed to the United Free Church, but the building was then allocated to the Free Church and had to be replaced in 1906. The Church of Scotland charge, Golspie Fountain Road, united with Golspie St Andrew's as Golspie in 1936. It was in the presbytery of Dornoch and the synod of Ross, Sutherland and Caithness. |
