Maybole Cargill-Kincraig Church, Ayrshire, originated with a group of members of the established church who petitioned the Associate (Burgher) Presbytery of Kilmarnock for supply of sermon in 1797. They built a church in the same year. This became successively Maybole United Presbyterian, Maybole Kincraig United Free and Maybole Kincraig Church of Scotland. It united with Maybole Cargill as Maybole Cargill-Kincraig in 1949. As a Church of Scotland charge it was in the presbytery and synod of Ayr. |
