Kirkliston Free Church dated from the Disruption, with a church built and opened in 1843. It passed successively to the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland, in the latter case as Newliston, which united with Kirkliston Old as Kirkliston in 1941. The Church of Scotland charge was in the presbytery of Linlithgow and Falkirk and the synod of Lothian and Tweeddale. |
