Pollokshields St Kentigern?s Church, Glasgow, developed as a Church of Scotland quoad sacra parish in response to the feuing out of the Pollok estate as a residential suburb. The church, in Albert Drive at Shields Road, was dedicated in 1878 and the parish was disjoined from Govan as Pollokshields quoad sacra in the same year. It terminated in 1941 on uniting with Titwood as Pollokshields Titwood. It was in the presbytery of Glasgow and the synod of Glasgow and Ayr (later Clydesdale). |
