On the 29th May 1828 the General Assembly approved the church of Stanley as a chapel-of-ease and the parish was later disjoined from Auchtergaven, Kinclaven and Redgorton and erected by the Court of Teinds in 1877. In 1959, Stanley Parish church, (known also as Stanley Tower) formed a union with the former United Free Church congregation of Stanley St James. After the union, the united charge continued under the name of Stanley and the former St James's church and manse were sold in 1960. In 1981 a link was established with Redgorton. The kirk session sits within the Presbytery of Perth. |
